South Africa now has legislation that requires homeschooled children to be registered with the education department. The children will also be assessed against the government CAPS curriculum. The beauty of homeschooling is that we have always been able to choose how we homeschool and what we teach our children. Do the new laws mean that we now need to give up the dream?

Home School South Africa is here to support and guide you in this journey through our Free Range Schooling.

The Free Range Schooling products are designed to allow families to continue homeschooling the way they choose to – but to still meet the necessary requirements of the CAPS curriculum. The choice to do the basics to meet all the CAPS requirements, or to use the program as a full curriculum – is yours!

As a Homeschool South Africa member, you are able to purchase the Free Range Schooling Journals. These journals have been aligned with the CAPS curriculum and can be used by our assessors for proof of learning in an assessment year.
